This course emphasizes the expansion of students’ oral communication, reading and writing skills through the study of themes that reflect their interests. Students will apply their knowledge of French in discussions, debates, dramatizations and oral presentations. They will read and write in a variety of genres (e.g. poems, articles and oral presentations). Throughout the course, five themes will be covered, many of which include cross-curricular activities and encourage the use of technology. Students will also study at least two short novels intended for a French speaking audience.
