Answer:

Many people are unable to afford an office software suite (E.g. MS Office).

As an alternative there is a FREE Open Source versions available.

OpenOffice.org is both an Open Source product and a project. The product is a multi-platform office productivity suite. It includes the key desktop applications, such as a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation manager, and drawing program, with a user interface and feature set similar to other office suites.

To view information about the software, go here.

To download the software, go here. (NOTE – this is a large file and only people with high speed internet access should consider it).

Answer:

If you are having trouble logging into the site and are using NORTON Firewall, read on....

The Norton firewall is causing a problem.

The most common cause for this is that your own computer (not nccschool.org) has a firewall that is stripping referrer information from the browser. Here are some instructions for fixing Norton firewall products.

When you have opened your firewall and are ready to add the site name, use

nccschool.org

Things should work fine now!
